Richard Blythe is the new pro vice-chancellor of the faculty of humanities at Curtin University. Professor Blythe is the dean of the College of Architecture and Urban Studies at Virginia Tech in the United States. Prior to moving overseas, he was the dean, architecture and design at RMIT University. He was the founder and director of architecture firm Terroir and has also held positions at the University of Tasmania.
Jason Fletcher is joining Clough as operations manager- civil, marine and infrastructure, Asia and Pacific. Mr Fletcher has worked for Georgiou Group for the past 20 years where he worked in a range of roles including operations manager, senior project engineer and construction manager across civil construction, water, land development and mining industries.
The voluntary assisting dying board will be chaired by general practitioner and former Australian Medical Association president Scott Blackwell. Other board members include Colin Holt, who recently retired as member of the legislative council for the south west region; consultant neurologist and vice president of the Motor Neurone Disease Association of WA Robert Edis; senior consultant and advisor in human rights, diversity and gender Maria Osman; and former director of the Social Security Appeals Tribunal and a legal member of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal Linda Savage.
