Chief Bidding, Engineering and Concessions Officer, WeBuild
John Galvin is the chief bidding, engineering and concessions officer for Webuild in Australia.
In his role, John leads the company’s bidding and engineering functions and also holds STEERCO roles on the Woodman Point Water Treatment Facility Upgrade Project, and New Women and Babies Hospital Project.
John is a board member of Infrastructure WA, an alternate director at the Australian Constructors Association, and sits on the executive committee of the Chamber of Minerals and Energy of WA.
John has more than 35 years of experience working across construction, engineering, consulting, and manufacturing environments, as well as overseeing corporate and operational business units. His expertise extends across large-scale multi-disciplinary projects in Australia and New Zealand. Prior to his current role, John held the position of executive vice president APAC at Clough, and before joining the business, he was with Georgiou Group for more than 11 years.
John holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), a Graduate Diploma of Management, a Masters in Business Administration and has completed the executive general management program at Harvard Business School. He is also a fellow of the Institute of Engineers and a graduate of the Institute of Company Directors.
