FREIGHTMARKET.COM director of operations Patricia Murray claims the company launched the first business-to-business freight information web site on the Internet.
“Freightmarket.com is among the few sites that provide for international, multi-modal transactions,” Ms Murray said.
She said the site offered shippers, carriers and freight forwarders faster, more cost-effective matching of cargo to transport.

Poynton tops awards
HARTLEY Poynton has won the gold medal for Australia’s best stockbroker web site in Personal Investor magazine’s inaugural Financial Services Website of the Year awards.
The site, at www.hartleypoynton.com.au, beat 13 online and full service brokers including E*Trade and Commonwealth Securities.
Judges tested each web site against a set of criteria based on functionality, design, content, originality, professionalism and effectiveness.
