Let’s hope cabinet listens

THANKS for your article on Derby Tidal Power.

It is a concise and accurate description of this project that enjoys support from all but Colin Barnett it would seem.

Your article was particularly pleasing because it shows an interest amongst city folk.

Let’s hope cabinet is listening to the needs and wishes of this region when resolving this issue.

Tidal grant a gas idea

I HAVE recently corresponded with Premier Richard Court commenting on the merits of the Derby tidal proposal.

I note from the article by Noel Dyson that it is now suggested grant money is used to build the transmission infrastructure.

I just cannot believe Energy Minister Colin Barnett is so dismissive of this proposal that allows the State to retain the value of that grant.

Why is Mr Barnett so wedded to the gas companies?
