THE Perth City Council has unanimously approved the $300 million development proposal put forward for Westralia Square II by Kerry Packer’s syndicate managed by James Fielding Ptd Ltd.
The approval is for two office towers of 21 and 22 storeys as well as a 12-storey serviced apartment block which has 169 accommodation units.
The development also will contain up to 1700 parking bays, including more than 1000 bays for public usage, almost making up for the 1200 parking spots lost to the convention centre.
The syndicate has agreed to the refurbishment of five heritage-listed buildings on the St Georges Terrace side of the development.
There will be a landscaped public plaza included in the design, which also boasts a rooftop restaurant on the eastern tower.
The main buildings each will have a four-storey glazed lobby and 16 levels of 1800sqm.
