The Technology and Industry Advisory Council is launching its innovation debate series next week. The inaugural luncheon and debate ‘Minds to Mines and Beyond’ will include an eclectic panel of industry and community leaders discussing a range of challenging hypotheticals related to mining, technology and WA’s economic future. The debate will be moderated by Austrade chief economist Tim Harcourt. The panelists include Azure Capital co-founder and co-executive chairman Mark Barnaba (above left), Australian Capital Equity chief executive and former under-treasurer John Langoulant (above right), Radio National’s Science Show journalist Robyn Williams, Woodside executive Agu Kantsler, social commentator Keith Suter, City of Perth Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi, social ecologist Rod Safstrom and Rio Tinto executive Joanne Farrell.
