Leederville-based bicycle accessories maker Cycliq has recruited Vimy Resources boss Mike Young onto its board as a non-executive director.

Mr Young also serves as chairman of Cassini Resources, is a keen cyclist and supporter of Youth Focus' Ride for Youth.

“Mike is a highly respected and well credentialed operator with extensive contacts in both the international and domestic capital markets and has many years of small cap experience,” Cycliq chairman Chris Singleton said.

“More importantly he is an avid cyclist in his down time and will bring a strong independent view to our future activities.”

Cycliq listed on the ASX in December, after completing a reverse takeover of Voyager Global Group.

The company’s stock has doubled in value since listing; at 11am they were worth 4 cents a share.

Business News CEO Charlie Gunningham recently profiled Mr Young as part of the fortnightly CEO Lunch.
