The position will report directly to managing director Melissa Wyllie, and be responsible for driving the mergers and acquisitions activities of the group.
The role is a newly created position within the group and may be seen as a sign of the Wyllie Group's intention to be active in pursuing key strategic investments.
The Wyllie Group has interests across a range of industry sectors including property, hospitality, retail, venture capital and equity markets.
Mr Wyllie was the company founder, and its success was built on an investment strategy focused largely on property-linked Western Australian assets.
Mr Wyllie was listed in the BRW Rich 200 list in 2004 with a net worth of $423 million.
