State Labor Leader Eric Ripper has promoted Ken Travers to the role of opposition spokesperson for Treasury, but is keeping his options open with Victoria Park MLA Ben Wyatt remaining on the front bench.
State Labor Leader Eric Ripper has promoted Ken Travers to the role of opposition spokesperson for Treasury, but is keeping his options open with Victoria Park MLA Ben Wyatt remaining on the front bench.
Mr Ripper said in the short term Mr Wyatt would retain the role of opposition spokesperson for state relations, while Mr Travers would take on the treasury role.
Mr Ripper said he expected to make an announcement about long-term portfolio allocations next month.
"I will take the time to consult with my caucus colleagues about the future structure of shadow cabinet and the recently announced Labor spokespersons," he said."
"I have a strong team and I want to make sure I have the right people with the right experience, knowledge and skills performing in the right roles."
