WorleyParsons sells power station stake

WorleyParsons has sold its remaining interest in the Esperance Power Station to joint venture partner ANZ Specialist Asset Management.

Prior to the sale, ANZ and WorleyParsons had equal interest in the assets, which includes a power station and pipelines, developed at a cost of $90 million some 10 years ago.

"The sale consideration provides for a small gain above the company's carrying value of the assets," WorleyParsons said in a statement.

"WorleyParsons will continue to provide asset management services to Esperance power station and pipeline as contracted."

The power station was opened in 2004.
