Workers keep on the move

THE average employee now spends less than four years with the same organisation, according to a survey by Drake Management Consulting.

In a backlash to the downsizing of the past decade, loyalty to a single employer has dropped dramatically.

The Drake survey estimates those entering the workforce in late 1992 would have changed employers nine times by the time they were 32.

Many employers are finding it increasingly difficult to maintain long-term relationships with their clients.

The impression of a “revolving door” policy can damage their image in the eyes of the business community.
