Woodside not short on good news supply

North West Shelf venture operator Woodside Energy has announced two new deals in the past week – one for domestic gas and the other to supply LNG.

North West Shelf LNG Sellers reached agreement with Tokyo Electric Power Company to supply a spot order for 125,000 cubic metres of LNG.

Meanwhile North West Shelf Gas finalised an amended conditional agreement to supply 100 TeraJoules of gas per day for 20 years to Methanex Australia.

Methanex needs the agreement ahead of a final go-ahead for a proposed Burrup Peninsula methanol production plant.

The new agreement remains subject to approval from the NWS partner boards and from the Methanex board in Vancouver.
