Woman heading male bastion

SUSAN Robertson has become the first woman to be named WA Club president in the exclusive organisation’s 110-year history.

The 49 year old business woman is the managing director of Edge Employment solutions.

She was the first women to become a member of the club.

WA Club CEO Barry Williams said the appointment showed there was a changing of the guard.

"It is an exclusive private club but it is also inclusive," he said.

"It shows professional business women are welcome."

Mr Williams said Ms Robertson had served here "dues" on various committees within the club.

Indeed, she was the club’s first female committee member.
