Wolf Minerals has signed UK-based CA Blackwell as its mining contractor at its Hemerdon tungsten and tin project near Devon in the UK.
Wolf said the $140 million contract was made up of two parts; mining pre-strip and mine development; and mine production.
The first stage will take around 11 months, while the second phase has a five-year term, Wolf said.
Wolf said it selected CA Blackwell through a tender process which received 11 quality bids.
“Wolf is delighted to have had such a good response to the mining tender and is pleased to be working with CA Blackwell,” managing director Humphrey Hale said.
“This is another milestone for Wolf and a headline mining project for Britain.”
Wolf Minerals appointed GR Engineering as its engineering contractor at Hemerdon earlier this year, with work kicking off early last month.
At 1:00PM, WST, Wolf Minerals shares were steady at 22 cents, having been lightly traded.
