Winery sale

MARGARET River vineyard Rosabrook is understood to have been sold to a group of local businessmen for $2.2 million.

Palandri purchased the vineyard last year for around $2.8 million.

Palandri chief executive Darrel Jarvis said the company bought the vineyard because of an interest in the wine stock.

“You don’t make money from vineyards. We are different from those operators. We spend a lot of money developing the brand,” Mr Jarvis said.

He said a decision was made to build the Baldivis brand and not the Rosabrook brand.

Rosabrook is located 5km south of the Margaret River Township.
