PRICES for MBAs on offer in Australia vary significantly depending on the prestige of the university offering the course.

According to information obtained by Business News from the yet-to-be-published Good University Guide to Business and Management Courses, prices range from $60,000 to $10,000 for a one to two-year course.

The University of Queensland executive MBA was Australia’s most expensive program at $60,000, while the Association of Professional Engineers, Scientists and Managers provides the cheapest program at $10,680.

At just more than $14,000, Edith Cowan University’s MBA program is ranked as the 16th cheapest course, while the University of WA Executive MBA available from next year is the State’s most expensive course at $27,000 for a two-year course.

According to the Good University Guide, the Sydney University of Technology offers the cheapest Executive MBA at $24,000, while Mt Eliza Business School offers the executive MBA for $56,000.

The University of the Sunshine Coast provides a generic MBA for $10,800, while the University of Melbourne MBA costs almost $40,000.
