Shares in Subiaco-based White Canyon Uranium have closed 15 per cent higher on news it had started uranium production at its Daneros mine in South Eastern Utah.
White Canyon said today it will deliver all the ore, produced during the development stage, to uranium producer and processor Denison Miners Corporation's White Mesa mill this month.
Proceeds from the first sale is expected next month.
"The sale of this development material will allow Denison to derive critical processing parameters with regard to the Daneros mineralisation, will assist with how best to treat this mineralisation through the White Mesa Mill in the future and will provide pertinent information required for the finalisation of a long term treatment agreement with Denison," managing director Peter Batten said.
Shares in White Canyon closed up 3.5c at 26.5c today.
