On Tuesday November 23 CPA Australia will hold Western Resources 2004 – Finance and Business Management Strategies for Sustainable Growth, at the Parmelia Hilton.
The symposium will follow on from current Australian mining and resources trends that point to a strong future ahead.
Broad topic areas on the agenda for discussion include financial, strategic and business management issues that are essential to success such as managing the impact of IFRS, examining the opportunities and strategies for growth, capitalising on Chinese economic growth, enterprise-wide risk management and probabilistic based decision making, improving asset utilisation and operations with financial indicators, adopting effective evaluation techniques, changes to the Joint Ore Reserves Committee (JORC) code, tax consolidations and taxation of financial arrangement rules.
