WESTCARE has released its annual Christmas Seals Appeal.
The seals, which are the size of a postage stamp, are used to decorate Christmas cards, envelopes and gifts and also raise funds to create global awareness of tuberculosis, a disease affecting one third of the world’s population.
The Christmas Seals appeal has been used to raise funds for this purpose for more than 50 years.
The seals are designed by Western Australian children from kindergarten to high school who are involved in West Care’s Christmas Seals Competition.
They represent each child’s creative impression of Christmas.
The seals are on sale through WA Newsagencies for $2 per sheet of 28 seals.
They can also be obtained from Westcare’s head office at 75 Carrington Street, Nedlands.
