West Oil slips away

THE old West Oil slipped away earlier this month, the company now operating under a new board and management and out of new premises.

Following the changes, the new team – executive director Ian Middlemas, director and company secretary Mark Pearce, and non-executive director Shane Cranswick – has supplied little more than directors interest information to the Australian Stock Exchange.

Mr Middlemas insists "it’s business as usual" at the listed West Oil, and there "was no history" behind the changes, and previous board and management have declined to say anything publicly.

An ASX spokesperson said the company had no obligation to call a general meeting of shareholders – including substantial shareholder and former exploration director Bevan Warriss, Daytona Energy and ANZ Nominees - in the absence of any capital raisings or changes of activity.
