SUBIACO-BASED rent-roll specialist Wentworth Mutual Ltd has extended its acquisition strategy by branching into travel, acquiring Queensland travel agency, Cruise & Travel Pty Ltd. C&T is a specialist travel group that focuses on luxury cruises and holiday packages. It has been operating for 15 years. WWM executive director Kingsley Lamont said the travel industry was a conduit for its business. “The attraction is the ability to market and promote our four- and five-star management rights properties to our emerging client base of property owners and shareholders through the travel business” he said. C&T director Sandy Murray said joining WWM would allow it to take the next step in not only growing the travel business but also in servicing the group’s needs as it continued to grow. The C&T team will relocate to the recently acquired Wentworth Gold Coast office. Ms Murray will continue to oversee the operation and has also been appointed as a director and general manager of Wentworth Real Estate. Wentworth’s most recent acquisition was the management rights to Trinity Links Resort at Cairns in Queensland in a $2.3 million deal. Wentworth has about 3,000 properties on its rent roll.
