Wireless technology company Wavenet International has announced that managing director John Thompson plans to step down from his executive role to relocate interstate with his family.
During his four years at the Burswood company, Mr Thompson has taken Wavenet from a virtual start-up to having product sales of $5 million.
The company shipped 26,000 modems last financial year and says it has become the market leader in the US in its market segment.
The increased sales enabled Wavenet to report its first-ever profit of $78,413 last financial year.
Mr Thompson will continue as a non-executive director and chief financial officer Brett Roelofsen will be acting chief executive from 1 January.
