WATER users from around the State gathered in Donnybrook last week to express their anger over the State Government’s plans to introduce water resource management charges.
Under the scheme, the government will introduce annual licensing fees to water users in selected areas across the State.
The WA Fruit Growers Association’s Chris Scott said most growers in WA were responsible water users and didn’t use flood irrigation. The issue will be raised at a combined water users forum to be held in December.
