Darren Walsh, formerly of Satterley Property Group, has been tasked with a position on the board.
An environmental consultant who used to work with Satterley Property Group has been selected for the Environmental Protection Authority board.
Darren Walsh, who currently heads up environmental consultant group JBS&G, formerley Strategen Environmental Consultants, was announced to replace outgoing board member Jenny Pope.
Mr Walsh worked as deputy managing director residential communties at Satterley Property Group between 2006 and 2011.
He will join EPA chair Matthew Tonts, deputy chair Lee McIntosh, and members Fiona Haslam McKenzie and Hamish Beck.
Environment Minister Reece Whitby said Mr Walsh’s experience in planning and policy would “strengthen the EPA’s commitment to the long-term protection of WA’s environment”.
“His skillset, expertise and background will be an asset to the EPA going forward,” he said.
Mr Whitby thanked Dr Pope for her service.
