Walker Wayland and Attalus tie up

Accounting firm Walker Wayland WA has signed a heads of agreement with fellow practice Attalus which will lead to a merger of the two firms.

Walker Wayland currently has 24 staff, and ranks as the 34th largest accounting practice in WA Business News' Book of Lists.

Upon completion of the merger, it will have 27 staff.

The merged firm will have revenue of approximately $4 million.

Walker Wayland WA director, John Dorazio said the two firms would complete a merger of the practices in six months.

“The team at Attalus adds another level of expertise and range of services that will benefit all our clients,” he said.

Attalus senior associate Iggy Moro said the tie up would benefit existing Attalus clients.

“The firms’ capabilities are a strong complement. The move provides us with the resources not only of the team at Walker Wayland WA but also the skills and experience of a network of highly experienced accountants across Australia,” he said.

Walker Wayland WA is a member of Walker Wayland Australasia, a grouping of 12 mid-tier accounting and business advisory firms across Australia and New Zealand.

The network climbed five places to 27th in BRW’s Top 100 accountancy rankings in 2012.
