Stuart Brown has been appointed to the WHL Energy board as the company looks towards transforming from an exploration company to a potential producer.
Mr Brown is the managing director of International Oil and Gas Strategies.
For the past five years he was vice president of strategic planning for Woodside Energy and has over 30 years of experience with both Woodside and Shell.
“The company is delighted to welcome Mr Brown to the board as his expertise in the international E&P industry and corporate analysis, asset evaluation, deal due diligence and advisory experience complements the skills of the current board members,” WHL managing director David Rowbottam said.
Non-executive director Gary King will resign effective of December 9, due to relocation to the United States.
“WHL Energy would like to thank Gary for his contribution to the company’s progress and wishes him the best in his future endeavours,” Mr Rowbottam said.
