IN a boost for the state’s tourism sector, WA has taken home three annual Australian Tourism Awards, presented at a ceremony in Sydney last week. In the accommodation awards, Seashells Resort Broome won the deluxe category, while Kimberley-based North Star Cruises took out the prize for adventure tourism. Aboriginal-owned wilderness camp Kooljaman at Cape Leveque, on the Dampier Peninsula, won the award for ecotourism.
