IN a deal with Canadian Regional Airlines, Ansett Australia sold one of its Fokker F28-1000 aircraft, this week 10 years ago. The aircraft had been in storage since October 1995. The aircraft was originally delivered new to Ansett Western Australia in October 1970. Ansett also announced the loss of its Queensland interstate services following Flight West Airlines’ decision to end its commercial alliance with the carrier. The announcement came as news of a dispute emerged between Flight West and Ansett over expansion plans by Flight West that would potentially compete with other Ansett affiliates.
