AN inquiry into exclusive program deals between Seven Network and Kerry Packer’s Nine Network by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has forced Seven to postpone a key meeting this week, 10 years ago. The $72.8 million scrip purchase of Mr Stoke’s Golden West regional network (GWN) by Seven was to be considered at the meeting. Seven’s deputy chairman Peter Ritchie said independent directors would consider the implications of the ACCC investigation during an adjournment until April 16. Mr Richie was a chairman of a committee of independent directors that recommended the controversial GWN deal.
