Agriculture production is expected to soar this winter, with Western Australian farmers tipped to lead the way. The National Australia Bank's latest farm outlook predicts winter crop production will soar by 72 per cent to 38 million tones, significantly above the five-year average. WA, Queensland and northern NSW are expected to lead the charge due to good rainfall, but the outlook is not so positive for Victoria, southern NSW and parts of South Australia where low rainfall and high fertilizer prices are expected to take their toll.
