Stirling Capital’s Cirque Mount Pleasant and Armadale Fitness and Aquatic Centre by the City of Armadale were recognised at today’s UDIA National Awards for Excellence 2020.

Cirque Mount Pleasant won the top prize in the High Density Development category, and the Armadale Fitness and Aquatic Centre was recognised in the Excellence in Social and Community Infrastructure section.

UDIA WA chief executive Tanya Steinbeck said she was very proud two WA development projects had been recognised as being among the best in the country.

“I have no doubt that as an industry we are consistently delivering top quality development to the community here in WA,” Ms Steinbeck said.

“These award winners are proof that we are building great places to live and recreate.

“Places that are now shining on a national stage.”

Cirque Mount Pleasant is a luxury apartment building which has been able to attract buyers who want to downsize.

“Cirque has set a high benchmark for future development in the burgeoning Canning Bridge precinct,” she said.

“Featuring resort style facilities, impeccable finishes, along with significant sustainability features, Cirque is representative of what many downsizers in these types of areas are seeking.”

The refurbished Armadale Fitness and Aquatic Centre was opened to the public in March 2019 and features indoor and outdoor pools, a spa and a sauna, heated by a geothermal bore.

“The City of Armadale have shown great commitment to their local community in delivering such a wonderful community facility that was many years in the making,” she said.

“The people of Armadale will benefit from the project long into the future.”

“What an amazing achievement for a humble Western Australian local government to win such a prestigious award on the national stage.”
