WA building approvals slump 30pc

BUILDING approvals in WA slumped 30 per cent in November to levels not seen in nearly eight years, as credit shortage and economic uncertainty deterred investors, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics. WA led the nation in the drop in residential dwelling approvals, falling 29.55 per cent to 1192 units, seasonally adjusted, from 1692 units in October
