WA Government Grants

The State Government is offering funds for indigenous infrastructure projects in remote indigenous communities in the Pilbara, Kimberley, Goldfields-Esperance, Mid West and Gascoyne regions.

Expressions of interest for grants from the Indigenous Infrastructure Projects Program and Indigenous Arts and Tourism Facilities Funding Program are due July 18 and August 15, respectively.

Other recent WA Government grants have included:

• $250,000 from LotteriesWest for furniture, equipment and computers for the Piyarli Yardi Aboriginal Heritage and Cultural Centre, Carnarvon

• $56,984 14 projects statewide, in the second round of the WA Government's reconciliation grants funding scheme

• $500,000 from the Road Trauma Trust Fund, to the Neurotrauma Research Program for research into repairing spinal cord injuries

• $1 million from the Office of Crime Prevention's      Community Security Grants Program, to 40 community safety projects
