On Thursday August 14 and Friday August 15, IBC Conferences is running an industry forum entitled, WA Energy Market Update – Seizing Opportunities in a Reforming Market at the Sheraton Hotel.
The forum will assess the future of the State’s gas market, what changes free retail contestability may bring to WA and examine the latest developments in the energy reform process and evaluate how these may impact the commercial position of WA companies. It will provide an opportunity for attendees to identify the many new opportunities arising in this transforming energy market that companies can capitalise on and will also examine the role renewable energy and RECs will play in the future WA energy market.
Keynote speakers for the forum include Epic Energy CEO David Williams, who will discuss the future direction of gas in WA; ACIL Tasman senior consultant Ian Satchwell who will provide an overview of the WA energy market reform process; Origin Energy wholesale manager WA Andrew Dimsey, who will discuss opportunities in a reforming WA energy market; and Office of Gas Access Regulation executive director Peter Kolf who will talk about gas access regulation in Western Australia.
