A vote on whether to disallow the expansion of Perth's tourism precinct has been deferred.
Western Australia's Legislative Council has decided that the boundary change, which came into effect in January 2010, can continue to stand for now, while further information is received.
The matter will be revisited on August 12 when the Legislative Council reconvenes for spring session.
"This means that it is business as usual for the Perth tourism precinct," Commerce Minister Bill Marmion said.
