PASSENGER arrivals and departures at Perth Airport grew by 10 per cent in May compared to the same month last year.
There was a strong international growth of almost 16 per cent, with overseas visitors increasing by 25 per cent. Domestic passenger numbers also increased on last year’s figures with growth of almost 8 per cent.
Total passenger arrivals and departures for the financial year to date show growth of almost 11 per cent.
“The exceptional growth in international passengers has been achieved after a substantial increase in capacity by several of the international airlines operating services to Perth,” Perth Airport chief executive Graham Muir said.
