THE Department of Land Information has won an $11.3 million contract as part of a joint venture to provide land administration and environmental services in Vietnam.
The five-year contract has been awarded to DLI and its Swedish joint venture partner Ramboll Natura AB. The partners were picked ahead of six other international consortia.
Ramboll will manage the project and DLI will provide advice and assistance for the land information part of the job.
In the first phase of the project, DLI will provide technical assistance and back-up services to enable land-titling offices to start in three provinces in northern, central and southern Vietnam.
In the second phase, DLI will be involved in two national and seven provincial projects.
