Little World Beverages says its business as usual for the construction of a brewery in the Victorian town of Healesville, which is under threat from the massive bushfires plaguing the state.
A spokesperson told WA Business News that the brewery, located close to the middle of the town, has not been affected by the bushfires.
Earlier this morning, residents in the town were warned to enact their bushfire plans when the blaze came within a kilometre of the town.
However the bushfire threat has since been downgraded.
The spokesperson said a couple of days had been lost due to the bushfires, but the brewery construction timetable was largely intact.
He said construction of the building had been completed and the brewery is currently being fitted out, with trial brews to start in the coming months.
He would not give an opening date for the brewery but said it will be in the coming months.
Little World Beverages acquired the Healesville land in July 2007 for an undisclosed sum.
