A software platform designed and built by Perth-based technology company Velrada was selected to run at last weekend's G7 meeting, held in the UK.

Velrada’s proprietary PowerRoster platform was one of the operational management systems used during the 47th annual summit, where leaders from guest countries Australia, South Korea, and South Africa joined those from Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the UK, and the US at Carbis Bay in Cornwall, between June 11 and June 13.

The Velrada platform was built using Microsoft Dynamics 365 and PowerApp technologies.

It was one of the first products launched through Level19: a technology incubator jointly developed by Velrada and a group of private investors two years ago.

Velrada, led by managing director Saul Sabath, said the adoption of PowerRoster at the G7 summit was a clear demonstration of the platform’s capability.

“I am immensely proud that Velrada’s PowerRoster platform was selected to be the G7’s prime logistics information source,” Mr Sabath said on Monday.

Velrada’s central role in running the G7 logistics is a clear vote of confidence that PowerRoster is the right solution to accelerate our move into the multi-billion-dollar global software as a service (SaaS) sector.”

He said Velrada and Microsoft had presented PowerRoster to a number of government agencies last year, noting a strong list of prospects in the US and Europe.

Established in 2009, Velrada is recognised globally as a principal Microsoft partner offering international consulting services to mining, oil and gas, and public and private sector organisations.

The company has about 140 full-time, in-house consultants in Western Australia, making it the state’s eighth largest consulting firm, according to Business News’ Data & Insights.
