Energy and infrastructure contracting group Valmec has secured $30 million in new construction contracts, including a 4 kilometre gas pipeline at Dacian Gold’s Mt Morgan project.

Valmec will work for APA Group on the construction of the Mt Morgan gas pipeline and has also been awarded another contract with APA for the construction of a compressor station.

The station will be built at APA’s Murrin Murrin facility on the Goldfields gas pipeline in Western Australia.

Valmec has also secured more work at the Northern Gas Pipeline project in Queensland, with the company constructing a compressor station for Jemena.

Valmec’s total contract value on the Queensland project has now increased to about $13.5 million.

Managing director Steve Dropulich said the company was delighted to be awarded the projects.

“Whilst these awards continue to demonstrate the company’s capabilities and growing prominence in the gas sector, we are also excited about our project pipeline, including ongoing discussions at various stages regarding further contracts,” he said.

All works on the contracts are expected to commence immediately with the majority expected to be completed by the end of the financial year.
