CINEMA advertising agency Val Morgan has announced it will close its slide advertisement wing at the end of the year after deciding the division is no longer profitable.
The company said last week that the decision to close the slide business had come following a review showing the division had become unprofitable.
The ads are often favoured by small businesses as a cost efficient way to gain exposure, with the 15-second grabs displayed at every session of any cinema screen booked. With more than 1,600 cinema screens around the country, the cinema advertising industry continues to grow, and is currently worth about $65 million.
