Osborne Park-based Universal Constructions has been awarded a $13.8 million contract by the state government for work at a new primary school in Perth’s northern suburbs.

Osborne Park-based Universal Constructions has been awarded a $13.8 million contract by the state government for work at a new primary school in Perth’s northern suburbs.

The company will undertake works on the second stage of Aveley North Primary School, which is entering its first year of operation in 2018.

The school will cater for kindergarten and pre-primary students this year with students up to year six set to begin in 2019.

As part of the new contract Universal will construct five teaching blocks, an administration area, dental centre, library and sporting facilities.

The contract follows on from Universal undertaking the first stage of works at the school, which comprised bulk earthworks, and constructioon of temporary pre-primary and kindergarten facilities. 

The company also recently won a $13.3 million contract for construction of the second stage of a new primary school in Meadow Springs.
