Unemployment down

WA RECORDED the lowest youth unemployment rate and the second lowest overall unemployment rate of all States during May, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

Latest job results show WA’s youth unemployment fell to 17.5 per cent in in May, from 22.1 per cent in April.

WA’s unemployment rate fell to 6.3 per cent seasonally adjusted – outdone only by NSW with a 5.6 per cent unemployment rate – well below the national level of 6.7 per cent.
