A team of MBA students from The University of Western Australia’s Graduate School of Management (GSM) has won a national business competition in Sydney. The UWA-GSM team won the Grand Final of the Postgraduate Division of the 2005 Boston Consulting Group (BCG) Business Strategy Competition. The six-member UWA team defeated university teams from across the country and New Zealand on September 28. It is the second time a GSM team has won the national BCG competition. In 2003, a GSM team became the first group from a Western Australian university to take out the annual event since it began in 1991. The GSM’s 2005 winning team included Andrea Ford (from Dalkeith), Stewart Fethers (from Scarborough), David Pearson (from Nedlands), Jason Chanlongsirichai (from Mount Pleasant), Jeff Keating (from Ocean Reef), and Andrew Strika (from Nedlands).
