UWA researcher gets national funding

University of Western Australia researcher Ryan Lister is one of three winners of the 2014 Sylvia and Charles Viertel Charitable Foundation Senior Medical Research Fellowship.

As part of the fellowship, Professor Lister will receive $1.225 million over five years to undertake plant energy biology medical research and will join the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research to head a laboratory.

Professor Lister is a previous recipient of the Prime Minister’s Life Scientist of the Year award.
