The brightest smiles in Perth will congregate next month at the University Club for a reunion of dental graduates from the School Of Dentistry at the University of Western Australia. The school is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year and welcomes all who studied the art of drilling, yanking, poking and scraping teeth in the past to attend one of five reunions in Perth, starting on July 18. Head of the School of Dentistry and deputy dean of the faculty, Professor Paul Abbot, said 2006 was a landmark year for the school. Other reunions in Perth will take place on August 1, 15, 29 and September 5, followed by a public lecture, research symposium and the launch of a memorial walk. Graduates living in Melbourne can attend a reunion on Friday June 30, and Sydneysiders don’t miss out either with one planned for early October. The crowning event is a Gold Dinner Dance to be held on November 11 and The Note suggests you don’t forget your sunglasses. Past students who are interested in attending a reunion should contact Derrick Webley on 9346 7368 or via email on derrick.webley@uwa.edu.au.
