Two major gold mines at Mt Magnet and Ord Banda near Kalgoorlie have been sold this week.
South Australian-based Ramelius Resources has purchased the Mount Magnet gold project from Harmony Gold Australia for $35 million.
In a statement Ramelius it had funded the acquisition through cash reserves.
Ramelius said it is debt free and has $96 million in cash and gold on hand.
The Mount Magnet project was discovered in 1891 and has produced 5.6 million ounces of gold since its discovery.
Meanwhile West Leederville-based Argent Minerals has entered into an agreement with Barrick Gold to buy the historic Bullant gold mine at Ora Banda north of Kalgoorlie.
The consideration for the acquisition comprises a cash payment of $5.28 million and 350,000 Argent shares.
In a statement, Argent said a non-refundable deposit has been paid to Barrick to secure exclusivity and it hoped to secured the deal in 21 days.
CPS Securities has agreed to underwrite the proposed capital raising on normal terms and conditions.
