Receivers for Clive Peeters, owners of Rick Hart stores in WA, say the company's Perth and Claremont stores have been closed.
This morning receivers PPB announced Harvey Norman had finalised the purchase of assets from the troubled retailer which included purchasing 32 Clive Peeters stores.
On Friday PPB announced it had agreed to sell stock, plant equipment and other items to Harvey Norman for $55 million.
The deal is expected to add $300 to $400 million a year to Harvey Norman sales, annually.
Four stores in New South Wales will be running sales over the next 2 to 3 weeks prior to closing.
In a statement PPB said Harvey Norman will interview all staff from the New South Wales stores, and from the closed Claremont and Perth Rick Hart stores, for potential employment elsewhere in the Harvey Norman network.
"This is an excellent outcome," said Phil Carter from PPB.
"We are delighted to have secured the employment of the vast majority of the workforce. This is particularly pleasing as employees have been instrumental in keeping the Clive Peeters and Rick Hart stores trading during this time and they are to be congratulated for their efforts," he said.
