HIGH-grade gold intersections by Troy Resources NL have extended mineralisation at the Bulchina prospect in the Sandstone region of WA.
Troy executive chairman John Jones called the results “extremely encouraging”. As a result, the company is preparing resource and reserve estimates.
The Bulchina prospect is part of the Mt Klemptz joint venture, being managed by Troy, which is earning 60 per cent equity through its 80 per cent control of unlisted Wirraminna Gold NL.
He said two phases of air core drilling at the prospect had recently been completed, extending the strike length of laterite mineralisation and the source saprolite mineralisation to about 500 metres.
Better results achieved in the saprolite zone include 24 metres grading at 4.1 grams/tonne from 22 metres (hole BCA48), 9 metres at 6 g/t from 51 metres in the same hole and 7 metres at 5.7 g/t gold from 37 metres (hole BCA64).
