Trouble for Thaksin

THAILAND’S military led a bloodless coup to oust prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra last week, with the former leader finding exile in London. The coup was Thailand’s first in 15 years, and was triggered by resentment towards perceived corruption in Shinawatra’s government and its ineffective response to the insurgency in southern Thailand.
